Spacious and elegant, Beacon caters to a mixed crowd who enjoys good food in lively and original surroundings. A variety of intriguing mains, such as red braised lamb shanks with rosemary, garlic potatoes and corn fritters (NZD20), grace the menu. Much of the food is cooked in Beacon's wood-fire grill. Live jazz punctuates the atmosphere Thursday through Saturday nights.
