This is an ideal place for a cheap English breakfast, though the honest downmarket atmposhere will not be everyone's cup of tea. Furnishings are basic with a 1950s feel--simple tables and chairs and plastic place mats. Lea and Perrins sauce adorns every table and a grand mural by Wellington outdoor artist Ruffo provides the decor. A real Cuba Street character and inexpensive to boot--bacon, eggs and toast cost NZD5, barbecued burgers NZD3, also serve chip butties for those longing to be home in England.
