Named after fictional gangster Carmen "Fancy Shoes" Travolta, this pasta joint joins Lolita's Lust and Chinchilla Lounge as well-known restaurateurs Johnny K and John Coronios' contribution to the West Danforth restaurant strip. In keeping with the gangster theme, the decor is underworld-hideout with weather beaten brick walls and tinted windows. The antipasti are a specialty here and the rest is mostly pasta. But, thanks to chef Laura Prentice, there's also a risotto with quince and salt cod puree (CAD14) and roasted rosemary chicken (CAD12).
