This is a busy, upbeat, popular, brightly-lit establishment. Hot and cold sandwiches, subs and deli salads are served. The subs are drizzled with Italian vinaigrette that is heavenly; each sub is named after Alaskan mountains. The Redoubt ($8.95), (named for a volcano that erupted in 1989), features a Dry Coppa, Soppressata, Sicilian Salami and Provolone mix, plus fresh veggies if you choose. With daily hot and cold specials, in addition to an extensive menu, you could never tire of the choices. Wine and beer is available.

  • The food is great.
  • Not open 24 hours.

“I live in Pennsylvania now. But when I lived in anchorage for 12 plus years, this place was always a favorite. The service and food are very good. The sandwiches a huge, a great deal for your money. (also tons of imported meats and cheeses, among other.”
