A bright blue facade with frescoes of the sun, moon and stars adorns the entrance to this trendy and always crowded place in Frogner. People both old and young flock to Clodion, whether they come for aesthetic reasons or to enjoy one of the light but tasty meals. Or you can simply enjoy a glass of wine on one of the curvy, colourful sofas and watch people come and go. The walls of the cafe form a constantly changing art gallery.

  • Music.
  • Service, waiters, prize, entrance.

“Stopped by last summer for a Guinness with my Israeli girlfriend and some Norwegian friends of mine. They want to charge us around 60 to 80 NOK in entrance fee. Horrible. We pay anyway and go inside. The pub is pretty full and theres a band playing nice Irish music. That's a plus (and basically the only plus they get). Service is absolutely nonexistent. We sit down at some tables and try to approach a waiter for some menus. No menus at all. We're left on our own. We were just told to go to the bar to order. So I make my way down there and try and ask for a menu. My girlfriend doesnt like Guinness that much and want something else. The guy at the bar can't help with anything either and starts saying someone about beer and "how we do things here" but due to the loud music I can't hear anything of what he says. So in the end, I give up and order a Guinness. The guy at the bar tops it all when he slides my credit card but doesnt type in the prize of my Guinness. No, he wants me to do it so he can get a tip. Just what the hell do I tip him for? For sliding my card? Yeah right. The service are so bad they don't even want to type in the prize for a Guinness, which by international standards are so high it's just stupid.”
