This large restaurant (one of the longest established Italian eateries in the city) manages to fool you into thinking you are in a much more intimate setting. This is due partly to the subdued lighting, and partly to the rabbit warren structure of the place, where one small dining area leads into another. The decor could best be described as enthusiastic, with ornaments, artefacts, and pictures filling every available space from floor to ceiling ' so there is certainly plenty to look at as you wait for your meal. The menu is based on the pizza-pasta theme, although the chicken dishes can be particularly recommended. A lunchtime menu offers a limited choice of food at very affordable prices. The atmosphere is always friendly, and because of the separated dining areas this is a great place for cosy twosomes, or noisy parties.
