The Metro is situated in the lively university area. It promises its customers the chance to sample world cuisine. In practice, this means an amalgam of eating experiences with Thai flavourings, couscous, Spanish Tapas and local fare such as champ competing for your attention. A two-course lunch is available for around #13 per person with a glass of wine. The wine list is well chosen from Europe and the New World. Most impressively, in the best wine bar tradition, wine can be bought by the glass from most bottles on the menu. An early diner menu, which operates from 6p-7p, allows the customer to select the best dinner courses at bargain prices.
