The Machwitz on Schanzenstrasse is a cafe and pub at the same time and you can't miss it. Even if it weren't a corner building it would be hard to miss, as there are colourful motifs painted on its exterior walls. You can choose between several breakfasts for one or two people; one of the offers for two includes champagne and is available for (EUR 14). The cafe also has the usual pub snacks and beverages, and you can watch the busy Schanzenviertel street life from here. It is a nice central location for a break before or after a shopping trip through the district. Breakfast costs around EUR 2.25-14.
