Slightly hidden away opposite St. Ann Street, The Grinch is a hugely popular cafe-bar and restaurant with a spacious al fresco dining area at the front. There is even a resident jazz and blues vocalist on Friday and Saturday nights if you like live music. It is a busy, upmarket venue with a high quality food menu enjoyed by a varied clientele, from business people to hip young things. Main courses - which include their famous gourmet pizzas and a good selection of pastas and salads - average around #7. Desserts (such as raspberry cheesecake) cost from #3. As well as a range of cocktails and a varied wine list, there are various draught beers on offer including John Smith's and Kronenbourg.
