If you like home-cooked English cafe dishes at reasonable prices, Time for Tea is a good choice. It gives a nod towards the traditional English tea room and is busy, informal and very popular with people of all ages - from students to old ladies out for their lunch. The pale peach walls are complimented by pastel green tables and chairs, while an outside patio area at the back is popular during the summer. The food is excellent and they are best known for the famous full English breakfast with all the trimmings, there is also a vegetarian option at #3. For the rest of the time, there are plenty of other choices including grills and salads for around #3.50. Home-made desserts, such as apple and blackcurrant pie and custard cost around #2.
