Not such an obvious hang out due to its suburban location, but its outstanding reputation ensures a full house most nights of the week. The continental decor is fresh and colourful with a small but stylish bar area. Live entertainment is offered in the form of pianists, a resident guitarist and possibly the chance of spotting a local celebrity. Among others, ex-Spice Girl Mel C has been known to pop in for an impromptu performance. A diverse and delicious menu includes baked goats cheese served on egg noodles accompanied with red onion marmalade, or perhaps a trout fillet baked with lemon and lime butter and crisped angel hair. The menu changes regularly and although not geared towards children, the chef is happy to adapt dishes if required.
