This is a cosy Thai restaurant on the Nieuwmarkt. This area of Amsterdam is littered with good little restaurants, most of them Chinese, so some Thai food comes as a nice change. Chao Phraya is quite popular, especially as a lunch restaurant. Rightfully so, as there is no greater joy than sitting in the sun on Niewmarkt scoffing down some fried rice with beef. Special mention has to go to the nice salads and the friendly service. The prices are also very reasonable.
