Established in 1986, An Leath Phingin serves Italian food of the highest calibre. Stained glass, carved wood, and muted lighting all combine to give a uniquely Irish and Italian romantic atmosphere. The two floors of this old stone townhouse are used very effectively to provide intimate dining without crowding. An Leath Phingin centres the menu around its oak fired stone oven. A huge variety of barbecued meats and pizzas are featured. They even smoke their own tuna and wild salmon. The marinated skewered lamb and vegetables, smoked salmon risotto, and home-made pork sausages are particularly recommended. Superb fresh pasta is made on the premises as well. There is an extensive and well-priced wine list featuring many Italian labels.
