Sands

Nestling in the historic Edgar Buildings is Sands, Bath's traditional, licensed, air-conditioned Lebanese restaurant. The interior of the restaurant is warm and welcoming, decorated in shades of pale coral and russet that seem to have been taken from the city of Petra, and which manage to evoke the feeling of a desert evening - without the accompanying discomfort! There are secluded areas in the restaurant for private parties, and traditional Lebanese entertainment is also provided regularly. Aromatic herbs and intriguing food combinations make dining here an exotic culinary experience. The house speciality is the traditional Mezza, a lavish (and seemingly endless) medley of small hot and cold dishes, including such delicacies as warak inab (stuffed vine leaves) and baba ganouche (grilled aubergine with sesame, olive oil and lemon).
