Hullaballoos

One of a small chain of unusual restaurants, the Bath Hullaballoos is situated close to the centre of the city in a busy and popular road. The special appeal of the restaurant is its policy of 'Bring Your Own Bottle' (wine and champagne only, however!) with no corkage charge. Bright and uncluttered, with a cosy, intimate feel, Hullaballoos is an ideal place for either a quick but highly distinctive lunch, or a more leisurely special occasion meal. The menu includes such delicacies as deep fried goats cheese with a choice of creme fraiche, orange and onion marmalade or honeyed pecan and spinach, while pan-fried herb cake with pine kernels, asparagus, mushrooms and goats cheese gives a good example of the sort of intriguing main courses on offer. Main courses are served with the potatoes and vegetables of the day - and the desserts are mostly fruit based and temptingly rich.
