Bathtub Bistro (The)

2 Grove Street, (just off Pulteney Bridge), Bath, United Kingdom
Tel: +44 1225 480532

On the cheap and cheerful side with a relaxed atmosphere, there's more room here than the exterior suggests. Good background music; take your own if you like, and an imaginative menu with starters from #3 and main courses from #7. Bring your own wine is allowed on Monday and Tuesday evenings. The Bathtub is good place for group gatherings and the laid back staff won't stand around waiting for you to leave if it's late.

“Dont go. Rubbish. I had to phone the bar from my table to get a drink. The wrong food came out, the coffees arrived before the dessert and when I wanted to complain they said the manager was to busy to see me!”

  • The quirky nature of the building.
  • Food and service.

“Avoid at all costs . During the week the service is slow if non existent . The waiting staff (1 person) was unable to cope with more than a few tables being occupied and the kitchen were incapable of delivering all the food at the same time to a table of more than 2 people. In fact it was 20 minutes between the time a main course arrived and the vegetables arrived. A number of the orders were forgotten and the quality of the food for what is being charged is poor. All in all if you are a party of more than 2 people go elsewhere.”
