Atlantic Bar (The)

This old style public house has won a James Joyce Award for having the necessary key ingredients that make up a "real" Irish pub, including interesting characters. As one would expect, this bar has a traditional look with plenty of wood trim and muted lighting. There are high stools at the long bar which sweeps down the length of the pub and many small snug booths in the surrounding area. If the atmosphere alone isn't enough to sustain you, The Atlantic Bar serves a bar menu all day and dinner in the evening. Both menus include much the same choice with sandwiches, seafood chowder, salmon in cream sauce, vegetables in a tomato sauce and steak.
