In the south of Antwerp on the Vlaamsekaai you'll find this special brasserie, which is located in what used to be a brewery. Inside, in the enormous modern eating area, you will see the original copper kettles that are still used for brewing a 'house beer'. You can, of course, try its house beer, which is brewed according to a traditional recipe. The strongest beer is Nen Bangelijke (meaning 'What a scream') that has 9.5 per cent alcohol. It also offers a wide selection of dishes, some of which are prepared with beer. Try the Blond Beer Soup or the Sea Wolf with Antwerp Blond.
