Built in 1743, the house serves heavy dishes cooked and served with the kind of care you would expect from such an entrenched establishment. Aspects of the menu change often, but expect to find salads, pastas and meat dishes. Vegetarians options are, for instance, gnocchi in gorgonzola with fresh spinach, and seasonal vegetables with gratin of potato overbaked with cheese. Recommended for non-vegetarians is the fresh filet of salmon in Riesling-saffron sauce, with leaf spinach and potato, or the lamb with rosemary red wine sauce, roasted potatoes and seasonal vegetables. The seating is comfortable padded benches.
