Cafe Meinhard is conveniently located right next to the station. Having a drink here, it is surprisingly easy to miss your train. This cafe is reminiscent of an old-fashioned Viennese Coffeehouse and the concept of harking back to tradition even applies to the name; the 'Meinhardiner' were the nobles who ruled in Tyrol between the 12th and the 14th centuries, before the region was handed over to the Habsburgs through inheritance. Besides serving fresh coffee (Segafredo), Cafe Meinhard does a fabulous line in cakes and 'Torte' (tarts), as well as small warm snacks such as toasted sandwiches and sausages.
