Restaurant Tropical Bar
av. de la Gare 52, Lausanne, SwitzerlandThis is one of the most kitsch cafes and restaurants in this town and all nearby towns, as well! But it is most definitely worth a look. Specialising in Brazilian everything, this place has a frighteningly child-like tropical decor, drinks with fluffy straws in them and orange pineapple stirring sticks. Hot and smoky most of the time, you could pretend to be in Rio or Sao Paulo but it would mean ignoring the giant Lausanne letters hanging from the main train station right outside. There is live music most nights at 10p. Enjoy the band with a handful of Cachaca 51 or a Sunrise and Passion Pecher.
