Lighting is very important to Le Triporteur. Large windows on two sides trap the morning sunlight and provide a good vantage point for commuter watching. At night, tables are subtly lit by tiny lamps, creating a warm and relaxing ambiance. There is a further seating area upstairs. The Southern French cuisine has a contemporary edge and is creatively presented. Neither the menu nor the wine list are expansive, but they change often. The owners of Le Triporteur run two other popular restaurants in the city (Les Fous de la Place and L'Opera Bouffe).
