Rosen's Bar & Grill

430 N 1st Ave, Minneapolis, MN

This is a popular hangout before or after a Target Center event. Owned by and named after a local sportscaster, you might even catch a glimpse of some of the subjects of his work. The place is usually packed wall-to-wall on game days but the wait is minimal for the lunch crowd. The noise of the crowd combined with the multiple TVs blaring different sports events can be deafening. However, refuge can be found away from the crowd in the high-backed booths. Darts, pinball and pool provide distraction from the TVs. The food is well prepared and all entrees are less than $10. The burger platters are hearty and the pasta plates are piled high. The salad and sandwiches are generous portions also but make for a lighter meal. On warm days the early arrivals can grab a window (it can be opened) or sidewalk table.
