Union League Cafe

Union League Cafe

1032 Chapel St, (between Crown and High streets), New Haven, CT

The finest French food in New Haven can be found at this romantic dining spot; the service is attentive and you can enjoy classic cuisine seated at linen-appointed tables by a roaring fire. Housed in the historic Sherman building (named after the first city Mayor), the beautiful stained glass windows are reminiscent of Tiffany, and the dark, warm decor makes it a splendid place to eat, regardless of the occasion. Try Canard Roti, poires au vin (seared marinated duck breast with red wine and blackcurrant poached pears, braised chestnuts and celeriac.
