Just as Golden Braid Books is a sensory delight for the mind and spirit, its next door neighbor is a delight for the palate. The chefs have created a menu that defies traditional ideas of health food. A coriander-crusted tuna, grilled smoked salmon, special pizzeritas, and smoked corn tamales are some of the regular items on the innovative and healthful vegetarian and seafood menu. The cafe's soups, pastries, and the tea or coffee-of-the-day are also wonderful treats. With the adjacent bookstore, one can easily spend several hours here.

- Too small for how many people they get.
