Planet Hollywood is widely known to be a major tourist trap. Nevertheless, kids love every inch of the place, from the celebrity handprints outside to the promotional movie memorabilia, not to mention the greasy burgers and fries. The meal itself is not too expensive, and you will likely spend a lot more in the gift shop. But maybe if you go there first, the kids will not mind so much when you drag them to nearby Central Park.

Food:[1] • Service:[5] • Atmosphere:[8]

  • Atmosphere, celebrity pictures.
  • Slow service, horrendous food, excessive price

“I thought the food was going to be fantastic because of the great atmosphere and the fabulous Hollywood theme. What a disappointment! The service was slow and they brought me the wrong food. I had to wait so much I was almost falling asleep. The food was horrible. I've had better hamburgers at McDonalds. Besides plain awful, the food was incredibly expensive. I do not recommend this place.”

  • I liked the atmosphere, the food, and the service at times
  • the music was too loud

“I thought that Planet Hollywood was a great experience for both myself and my family. Having never been to this themed restaurant before, i was quite pleased with the atmosphere and the food. (though ive never had a burger there). The service is a little on the slow side, but where is it not like this in NYC? If you've never been its worth a shot. Its just fun to tell friends that you went there. ”

Food:[2] • Service:[5] • Atmosphere:[8]

  • Hollywood theme and pieces on display
  • Everything Else.

“One of the worst dining experiences of my life. The food was horrendous. I had a cheesesteak (disgusting) They couldn't even get my friends burger right. Even the French fries stunk. The place was crowded and the servers were too busy, I was barely able to get a drink refill to wash down the food. It was awful!!!! It's been a few years since I went there, pre-bankruptcy period, and I understand why.”

  • Cool Hollywood stuff
  • Bad food

“No wonder so many of these places closed down. The food is awful. Greasy doesn't even begin to describe the vat of oil sitting in my stomach. I've been there about 3 times and don't think I'll be going back. Even TGI Fridays is great compared to this. All the Hollywood stuff just can't make up for it.”
