Specialists in rice dishes, you can have any variety prepared in any number of ways at champagneria Gala. The menu features 20 different types of paella and fideuas (Catalan noodle-based equivalent) for under EUR12.02 per person. Wash it all down with cava (Spanish sparkling wine) or choose from a selection of beers, wines or soft drinks. It is a popular place with youngsters who like the informal atmosphere: bright red decor and ingenious designer lighting by means of simple lamps on columns.

  • Food.
  • Lacking a little ambiance.

“Overall it's got some funky atmosphere, little on the bare side of things. But the food was great (but then again most of the food is great in Madrid). Can't quite decide if I liked Madrid way too much.”

  • Nothing.
  • Everything.

“The place is lit up like a nighttime baseball match with some wilted plants hanging from the walls and ceiling and that is called a "sunny patio" in the restaurants description. And this has to be the worst meal I have ever had in my life. Well worst few bites I got up paid the bill and left. Tasted like "rice-a-roni" out of a box Spanish rich flavor. Not to mention the fact they did not even try to cut the "baby carrots" that come out of the bag. The whole carrot just wedged into the rice with the rest of the frozen items peas muscles and chicken. Really a crime the food they put on the plate. Stay away is all I can tell you.”
