“This is one of the best restaurants that I have eaten. The food is exquisite, the service is flawless, the atmosphere is brilliant, and the views are marvelous! The staff is very professional and our server exhibited a fair knowledge of the food and wine they serve. We started by sharing the Combination Appetizer, which was amazing along with the Winter Salad, which was also quite unique. For our entrees my husband had the Trio of Tenderloin and I had the Wild Grill. Both of us were astounded at the quality of these dishes, you can really tell the chef used a lot of creativity and they look like artwork. Our server was prompt, but didn't rush us; friendly but not intrusive. We sat next to the fireplace and it was so romantic and cozy. I would recommend anyone to go here for a special occasion, to bring visitors, or just to pamper yourself. I will be returning to Craft wood Inn very soon.”

“I understand it has a history of some great food and wonderful times for its guests, but this place has wonderful possibilities, but like its staff the decor is worn and tired inside and in need of love. ” 0 of 1 people found this review helpful.

“ Do not let the prices scare you too much. Entries are $18-$32 a plate. If you are on a budget, like I am, then you can order around the entries and fill up on less expensive but no less gourmet appetizers, soups, salads and desserts. My husband and I stumbled on to this restaurant when searching for someplace to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. It's been "our" restaurant ever since. The architecture is a striking, romantic combination of Tudor, Arts and Crafts, and Japanese, built at the turn of the century by a local architect. As a result dining is done is several different rooms, each with its own atmosphere. The menu is Colorado gourmet--western wildlife in a gourmet style. The serving sizes are very generous. We have never had a hostess, server or even busboy who was less than unfailingly gracious and helpful. We have made special requests for drinks and food preparation--the wait and cook staff exceeded our expectations. Our favorite dishes include: the smoked salmon appetizer; the crab and artichoke bisque; the wild boar and spinach salad; and the noisettes of elk. My husband grew up eating elk, and says he never knew elk could be so tender! The desserts are good but not out of this world; they include the usual suspects: mud pie, tiramisu, death by chocolate, etc. They are well done but not as unique and fine as the main courses and the soups. We've taken a child there once, and they kindly seated us in a busier, more casual area of the restaurant. For romantic occasions, and times when you want to impress the out-of-state visitor with excellent local fare, (or if you are the out-of-state visitor seeking to be impressed by local fare) then this is the place.” Popular Restraurants in Manitou SpringsView all restaurants in Manitou Springs
