Bar Europa

Siete Revueltas, 35, Seville, Spain

This place has been here since 1925, and although it has recently been refurbished, it conserves its traditional and classic ambience and it's still as popular as ever. During spring and summertime they have tables outside overlooking the square, so you can sit there and enjoy the lively and busy atmosphere of a typically Sevillian square. They are known for their variety of breakfasts, cooked with Baena olive oil, and for their home-made rice or venison tapas. Trotters are highly recommended. As for drinks, this is a good place to have cava, a sparkling wine similar to champagne produced in Spain.

  • Creative Tapas dishes.
  • Not much English - see the chalk board menu by the plaza tables.

“Our hotel concierge recommended Bar Europa to us. It is a little hard to find, but worth the search. They had a menu in English on a chalk board by their tables on the plaza. We had a wonderful thick tomato soup and a beet soup, but the best dishes were the hamburgers served with caramelized onion and a Roquefort sauce and their granny apple with goat cheese topped with a balsamic vinegar reduction. We liked this place so much we came back another evening.”
