Kukar's House of Pizza527 Almaden Avenue, (between Highway 280 and San Carlos Street), San Jose, CATel: (408) 292-6882 This old-school hangout was once deemed the best place to get bombed in peace. It is become a bit more sophisticated these days, but it is still a nice, quiet place where you can hang out over a beer and a slice. The pizza comes in squares, not circles, soaked in grease but somehow still lovely at the same time, shape notwithstanding. The average price for a large pizza is $18. The sporty decor is old-style American.Note:Cash only.

“I love this place! It is totally family oriented and amazingly homey. And, all the cool things hanging from the ceiling are such a big hit with my friends! We meet up there all the time and the food is superb & all the employees treat you like old friends, even young peoples like me, the boss or manager, is fun too! He kind of reminds me of my dad! Totally in a good way, I love House Of Pizza & u should totally eat there!”

“This is the perfect place to hang out with your friends and family or take people out from a business trip dinner! The food is great! Try the all meat and jalapeņos and share it with a pitcher of cold beer. The guys and gal at the bar are very friendly including the entire staff are great! The public there are pretty cool they just want the same thing fun time good pizza and beer and some juke box music. ”

“this is what I call an old skool/biker-bar/bring your kids restraunt. The oldies play in the back ground from a old skool juke box, the people (some intimidating) are the nicest people in San Jose a very diverse crowd , you can feel the family atomoshere. The pizza is unlike any other I have ever had, the decor is most unique and very interesting (lot's of antiques)” 0 of 1 people found this review helpful.Popular Restraurants in San JoseView all restaurants in San Jose
