Kukar's House of Pizza

Kukar's House of Pizza

527 Almaden Avenue, (between Highway 280 and San Carlos Street), San Jose, CA
Tel: (408) 292-6882

This old-school hangout was once deemed the best place to get bombed in peace. It is become a bit more sophisticated these days, but it is still a nice, quiet place where you can hang out over a beer and a slice. The pizza comes in squares, not circles, soaked in grease but somehow still lovely at the same time, shape notwithstanding. The average price for a large pizza is $18. The sporty decor is old-style American.Note:Cash only.

  • All meat pizza and jalapeņos.
  • More parking.

“This is the perfect place to hang out with your friends and family or take people out from a business trip dinner! The food is great! Try the all meat and jalapeņos and share it with a pitcher of cold beer. The guys and gal at the bar are very friendly including the entire staff are great! The public there are pretty cool they just want the same thing fun time good pizza and beer and some juke box music. ”

  • One of the best Pizza hang outs anywhere - I've seen alot !
  • Your team may not be shown on the many TV's - They love thier Teams !

“this is what I call an old skool/biker-bar/bring your kids restraunt. The oldies play in the back ground from a old skool juke box, the people (some intimidating) are the nicest people in San Jose a very diverse crowd , you can feel the family atomoshere. The pizza is unlike any other I have ever had, the decor is most unique and very interesting (lot's of antiques)”
