The only franchise establishment in the Elliston "rock block," TGI Friday's is by far the most popular. Crowds flock here for familiar favorites like Shrimp Friday's or the Texas Skewers (beef, chicken and shrimp sauteed and served with veggies on long skewers). This is the same as any other Friday's you've seen, except that each night the manager instructs the kitchen to "work up" a special item. It may be fried catfish with sauteed onions or a tasty slice of spinach and pesto pizza. Whatever they come up with, diners delight in the change of pace. The bar stays open until 3am and provides libations of all types: import and domestic beers, mixed drinks and a fair wine selection.
