• The British guy who sits in the bar.

“Great food. Bar area is crowded, there's this obnoxious British guy, Frank, I believe is his name, usually sits at bar, hitting on woman. I go have dinner there, if I see him in the bar, I wait outside for my table if there is not one.”

• Lively atmosphere, decent service.
• Horrible food, a step lower than taco bell.

“This place serves salsa that tastes like marinara sauce and it was obvious that they used canned enchilada sauce. My companion felt ill immediately upon leaving the establishment. Why does everyone like this place? Its really schlocky, third-rate food (affordable, to be sure). I'd never even think about going back there.”

“It's been 21 years since I've lived in and been back to Los Angeles, and El Coyote is still my favorite restaurant. Note that I did not say my favorite MEXICAN restaurant -- my favorite restaurant! I cannot say enough about the food, service, and ambience of El Coyote. I think I'll move back to L.A.!”
