Since 1928, Valley residents have flocked here for fajitas, enchiladas, tamales and that favorite border-style breakfast, Huevos Rancheros (eggs smothered in green chile and tomato sauce, served with beans, rice and tortillas). The "Mary Lou," a folded cheese crisp that is a true Arizona tradition, makes a great shared appetizer. Mexican and Latin American live music plays on Friday and Saturday nights, Wednesdays feature Swing Time and Mariachis play on Sundays. Located in Old Town Scottsdale, south of Indian School Road. Second location: 15544 North Pima Road, Scottsdale (+1 480 596 9787).

  • Best mexican food anywhere
  • atmosphere is good but a little funky

“My wife and I have had a favorite mexican restaurant in San Diego for years. While visiting friends in Scottsdale, we tried Los Olivos. It offers, BY FAR, the best mexican food we've ever had (and that was the consensus of all 4 adults at the table) and the prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere is good - just feels a bit dark and cramped in one room but there are others to choose from. Service is friendly and attentive. We only regret that we live so far away... We've lived in NM for years so I believe we know authentic mexican...can't get it on the east coast anywhere we know. Move over San Diego, we've got a new favorite...”
