This Hotel San Carlos coffee shop is the perfect place to sit back and watch the pedestrian parade. It offers a full range of specialty coffee drinks, plus pastries, muffins and bagels at breakfast and sandwiches, soups and other light lunches. A sidewalk patio at the corner of Central and Monroe offers people watching and a place to soak up the Arizona sun. Inside, a bakery counter entices patrons with freshly baked goods. Ice-cream-parlor-style tables and chairs provide seating in the cheery room. Coffees and pastries $1-4; sandwiches $4-7.
