Located downtown in the landmark Bertram Building, this place has been voted Best Indian Restaurant in the Austin Chronicle Reader's Poll. Chef Maqbool Ahmed uses seafood as the focus of several unusual signature dishes including Mussels with Garlic Curry Sauce and Coriander Calamari. The menu also offers more traditional meat and vegetable curries, salads, and a rice pudding dessert. A weekday lunch buffet is also available. Anything from casual to dressy attire is acceptable.
