• The wonderful breakfast, and the warm mountain welcome.
• I can't eat barbecue, but our friend loves it.

“My husband, me and another couple, travel to the Banner Elk area, from once to twice, every year. We ate breakfast at Pappy's every morning. We all love the breakfast, as well as the Huge hot biscuits. We were saddened, the months and years, we went there, and Pappy's was closed for renovation. It took away from our whole trip. We are traveling there, in October 2009, for the Woolly-Worm Festival, and we are so thrilled that Pappy's has reopened! See you in October!”

• Nothing.
• Terrible ribs.

“Worst ribs I've ever eaten and they didn't even sell beer at the time I went I think they do now, but I won't ever go there again also, I don't like smoked ribs.”
