“The food was absolutely excellent all around and the service was great. The salad greens were fresh, onion rings crispy and the sweet potato moist. Definitely recommend the Buffalo Nickel Burger. There was absolutely nothing negative about our experience - the waitresses were all very cheerful even though it was Easter evening.”

“I heartily agree with the other commenter. We visited in October 2008. The food - I had the pork chop special - filled me up for the entire day & was delicious. Our waitress was perfect there for us but very careful not to keep intruding on our conversation. She gave the dessert specials with kind of a wink & smile because she knew we had no room for anymore food that day. Only negative, unrelated to the restaurant was this. One of the people in our group tried to visit an antique shop nearby. He was rudely told to leave as he had a drink in a foam cup with a lid. "You just lost a customer" he told her. "Now I wouldn't buy anything now matter what you have!" Can't have everything I guess. The Chophouse Grille and Microcar museum on the other side of town made this a memorable day all in all.”

“This is a very good restaurant in a beautiful little historic Georgia town, about an hour east of Atlanta along I-20. It is often worthwhile going into towns and avoiding the fast food and chain restaurants found within sight of the interchanges! Just a block off the town square, it has a varied menu. It is clean, brightly decorated and has a very friendly and efficient staff. There are outside tables for use when the weather is not extreme, but I was there on a hot, muggy summer day. I had a (theoretically) light early supper: soup and sandwich. Great French onion soup! I couldn't resist trying the fried green tomato sandwich -- a first for me. It was as filling as a full dinner. The people around me at other tables thought that their regular dinners were very good, judging from the compliments I overheard. Special kudos to my waiter, Matt, a college student who was as polite, attentive and well-spoken as any waiter I've ever encountered. I get used to sloppy, uninformed servers at too many places. When service is excellent, I notice and appreciate it.” Popular Restraurants in MadisonView all restaurants in Madison
