“I had a wonderful meal of baked salmon topped with fresh lobster and fresh fig at Tre Scalini in New Haven last night. Also had a side of spaghetti with hot Italian sausage. The salmon was cooked as only a New Englander can cook salmon - tender and succulent - the topping of fresh chunks of lobster and fig was an unusual but pleasing combination. The accompanying Reisling was just right - smooth and dry. We found the restaurant to be a very friendly place - we ate at the bar and chatted with the owner/bar tender (who was genuinely concerned about how we liked our meals) while we ate. There is also a lovely, romantic dining room. I'd go back anytime.”

“Wow, I loved this place. The food was top notch, the atmosphere was grand, and the service was impeccable. If you are looking for a great place for Italian, this is the place. I travel to New Haven for business and discovered this place after I was taken there by some locals who I worked with. It is hidden and difficult to find if you don't live there so make sure you get directions, or better yet just take them along. You are sure to have a wonderful evening!”
