• Our kids ate free!
• The steak was appalling, staff too busy to do their job.

“For starters I ordered a Mango Daiquiri and got a strawberry (I had to pay for the waitresses mistake), I ordered a salad with French and got ranch. I ordered the Filet Oscar which is a $27.99 steak (I don't mind paying that for a great steak), I was sadly disappointed! I got a steak that was burnt to a crisp on the outside (I ordered medium) the steak was supposed to be covered with lobster (I got one bite) and topped with Bernaise Sauce, it was covered with Hollandaise! The waitress offered no solution, acted like she was too busy to hear our concerns. If you enjoy a great steak & fine dining I highly recommend staying clear of this mountain jack.”

“The manager was the rudest person I have ever had to deal with in my entire life! The food is mediocre, at the very best (my and my husbands dinner, were both under cooked with a soggy taste). The wait staff acted as if they worked at a fast food joint. I would say do not waste your time with this place! It will leave a very bad taste in your mouth.”

• Side salad was good and the wait help was nice.
• Prime rib was not that good, the mushroom couldn't be eaten.

“I was told The Prime was the best in town by the help, I would have to disagree strongly. Close to the worst I have ever had. The salad was good. The stuffed mushrooms were also the worst I have ever had. They asked if something was wrong because I ate only 2, that was nice that they asked and just didn't take the plate full away.”

• Looks like they are freshening the decor.
• Parking lot could use work.

“I have known about Mountain Jack's for years, however, it had fallen out of my rotation of restaurants that my wife and I usually visit. I had the opportunity to have lunch with clients at Mountain Jack's and was impressed. My wife and I returned for dinner a few weeks later and I must say that my steak and her salmon were much better than the so called "Fine Dining" steakhouses around town. Our server was personable and knowledgeable about the menu. There were no specials when we went in but our server explained that the menu was new and there were some new items on the menu and they still served the salad at our table. We will look forward to returning.”

“I will definitely return to this restaurant. Had the best steak here and Im not really a steak person. Good service and the restaurant was busy.”

• Quick service, excellent food.
• Nothing on this trip.

“In a few words, we could not have chosen a better place! First, despite being busy we were seated immediately. Service was excellent, orders taken promptly, all specials and details explained clearly. My drink glass never got empty. Then the food. I can only say it was excellent. I have the regular cut 12 oz Prime Rib, ($22) cooked to perfection, cut with the fork and melted in my mouth. My friend likes rare, and got his steak spot-on.”

• Parking lot was a little annoying to locate. Hidden driveway.

“The food was absolutely amazing, a transcendental religious experience. Our party of four ordered the Prime Rib (the "Best steak in town", according to their menu, and that held to be true) and the whiskey-pepper top sirloin, as well as vegetables, soups, salads, crab cakes, and a triple-mouse slice of cake to share. Our server was friendly, helpful, and clearly enjoyed both his restaurant and its food-- he made several recommendations, kept our glasses full, and checked back on us to ask what we thought of everything several times. The steak was incredible-- they served our medium up medium, and it was so tender you could cut it with a fork. Better than Big Buck's, better than Outback, better than Macaroni Grill. The food was expensive, but not pricey for what it -was. I would definitely go back again and again.”

• It was next to my hotel.
• Poor service, poor food.

“Went on a Sunday night, as it was next to my hotel. There was an Asian girl on reception, and she seemed to be having a major problem with my server. A lady spilled her drink, and was moved to another table, but another diner was shown to her wet table, and nobody wiped it up. Another group left, because they had been sat for 15 minutes, and nobody had attended to them. My server was friendly enough and efficient, but she was on her own, and there were far too many people for one server. When the food turned up, it was stringy and disappointing. I didn't stay for dessert coffee, and will not be back. The atmosphere was bad, with an obvious problem between waitress and receptionist not hidden from the customers.”
