• Wonderful food - but be prepared for a long wait if you go.
• Management seemingly does not care about the customer.

“The food creativity is wonderful. One of the best Mac and Cheese dishes I've had anywhere - globally! The wait staff was non-existent, the bartender was rushed / running / sweaty - I purposely did not go to the local Dive Bar up the street - seems like I should have? This place must be like game or a novelty to the owners as there is no real focus on the customer - only on atmosphere: newer building built as a turn-of-the-century structure, 12 or so micro-brewed tap beers, tidy and very nicely appointed dining area, however, the chairs / stools in the bar area were falling apart and wobbly to the point of dangerous. While I was there, two tables came in - and left prior to getting served (20 minutes waiting for a waiter). The beer selection was varied but mediocre in quality - the bartender ill-knowledgeable on the taste / flavor / styles. This was a festival weekend too. Maybe it is not necessary to ensure transient patrons are served well? The people seemed like they wanted to help - like they were genuine - but were over-worked as there were not enough on-staff and did not know enough about the products. The manager sat at the bar texting - it's good to be king! Good potential - poor management - which flows down to the lack of knowledge of the staff and the survival mode they are put in with too little of them to go around - and it flows into this unhappy customer. Pity.”

• Pizza and atmosphere, both were excellent!
• Nothing.

“Their pizza had a flavor that was unique and addictive. It doesn't leave a heavy feeling after consumption, it's quite lite and sits well, which was extraordinary for pizza, without sacrificing flavor and quality.”

• Nice atmosphere and unique pizza.
• Non existent service and skimpy menu.

“We spent about 15 minutes being ignored the other day before we walked out. No one on the staff batted an eye, and when we brought it up to them on the way out, they acted like they had no clue and made sure we knew they didn't care. On the couple occasions we had been there before, the service was better, but the servers were not very attentive in general. The food is generally just ok, and while the pizza is better-than-average, it's not for everybody, since they are more the gourmet type.”

• Looks nice, close to the harbor.
• Poor service, marginal food, bad value.

“We had poor service including a wait staff that was unfriendly, inattentive, and just not interested in us at all. Appetizer came with the Pizza. My wife asked for water and it came in a Styrofoam cup. Had to chase down a waitress as ours had disappeared (never did come back) for red peppers and Parm and they never came till we were finished eating. We also were abandoned by 3 different waitresses. Overall a very disjointing meal. I would not recomend it to anyone. Too Bad because it looks like it would have a lot of potential but not until someone starts caring about the customer.”

• The best tasting pizza around.
• Pricey, but worth it.

“Truly the best pizza around. The mixture of the finest ingredients makes this pizza well worth the price. The crust is even amazing! We make sure we drive up to Lexington, just to eat at Smack water Jacks!”

• Root beer beverage.
• Could use another bathroom!

“I've been there many times and have nothing but the best of things to say about the place and the owner. I chanced it a few years ago and suggested it as our Friday night meeting spot enroute to our Goddess Retreat a few miles North of Lexington and the ladies have always wanted to return.”

• Great location and atmosphere. Pizza so great you won't throw away any part.
• Finding the phone number or menu so you can call ahead can be touch.

“Although the wait can be long, the pizza is well worth the wait. I've been dining there for years and it's truly the best pizza ever. My personal favorite is the margarita. My kids know I won't even share a bite not even the crust. I've had pizza all over the world and this is the best.”
