“I totally disagree with the previous review, and think he needs to try it again before he makes a judgment. I think he may have had a bad experience. We have been there several times and have ordered in and our pizza has never been bad. Just the opposite it is awesome. We are only here for a few more weeks and I wish I could figure out a way to get their pizza and a couple of their pasta dishes to Illinois. I actually sat and watched them make pizzas on a visit one time and I dont think I have ever seen so many ingredients go on one pizza. And our pizza has never been oily. And I know for a fact I have good taste.”

“*Sigh* I wanted so badly to love this restaurant, as I just moved into the neighborhood and was hoping to find a pizzeria with New York style pizza (or as close to it as I'm going to get in Florida). I wanted it to be Verona's, since we order in a lot of pizza at my house. I was so disappointed with the quality of pizza after eating in the restaurant to sample it first, although it does have potential if they could correct some problems. The first problem is way too much oil used in making the pizza, such that the bottoms of the pizzas are completely drenched and soggy with oil while they are sitting on the metal serving trays. I know a little oil is to be expected, but most often you find some on the top and can blot it with a napkin. That I can live with. However, the entire underside of their pizza was completely soaked and floppy, totally impossible to brooch off because it soaks up easily (the crust is on the thin side, so this makes it even worse). The second problem is with ordering extra cheese. There didn't really seem to be any "extra" put on it when that was what we had ordered on all our pizzas (any less and I can't imagine that even being a "regular," honestly!). If they can improve upon these issues, I would have been ordering quite a bit of their pizza for delivery pretty often, but I just can't do that at the prices they charge for the quality they give. Believe me, I would pay the higher prices (about $17 for extra large, I believe) for good Italian pizza, and even stop by for the entrees now and then with my family, but I just can't do that for what was served to us at the restaurant upon our visit. So, Verona's, please experiment with the oil levels until it gets rid of the problem and please don't be cheap with the mozzarella even when we ask for extra to combat the potential problem of there not being enough on a regular. People that love good pizza usually don't look for ambiance and the bells and whistles, so your casual setup is not of any concern to me. But if you could fix these aforementioned problems, you would have a lot more business and people with good taste (that don't want to do the Domino's thing) would be willing to pay more for a great meal! And then I may never get seat when I visit! )” Popular Restraurants in SanfordView all restaurants in Sanford
