• The experience.
• The layout of the restaurant was a bit strange, but quirky.

“I recently took a trip to Key West with my husband, brother and his wife. We stayed at the Hyatt Windward Pointe, which was a magical experience within itself! I was chatting with someone that owned a unit/week there and they suggested I stop by Iguana Cafe. We all decided to take a scenic bike ride around the island and stopped in for a late lunch. I must say, the place was so adorable - it had just been renovated due to damage from a recent hurricane. Above all, the staff made me feels so welcome, as if I was a close friend. My husband had the Hog Wing Basket, which was suggested (I was hesitant on ordering it). However, these Cuban marinated pork shanks were truly amazing. I begged for their recipe, to no avail. I had the Blackened Mahi Mahi Sandwich, served with Tater Tots (cute) and this wonderful sauce - almost like a remoulade for the tots. My brother and his wife had the special of the day, a home-cooked roasted Cuban Pork with plantains and black beans with rice. The flavors were very vibrant and comforting. We enjoyed our experience so much that afternoon, we stopped by again late at night. The bartender (Eric) made a fabulous Espresso Martini and informed us of their late night menu. We were shocked to find out; they serve their fabulous food until 5am. I suggest, if you're able to enjoy a moment in paradise, you should definitely stop by this hidden treasure. You'll be happy you did and I'm sure you will return for an encore!”
