“We were in the Woodfire at this time last year and we were looking forward to dining there once again on this trip to Florida. Is it possible for a going concern to go hill that fast, I'm skeptical to say the least, we'll try it again and do a follow-up report.” 0 of 1 people found this review helpful.

“Quite simply, this restaurant needs to close down. After returning home from a month-long stint on the east coast, I had to write this after such an awful experience. The bread they passed off as "fresh" was obviously at least a day or two old, the food was overpriced and moderate at best, and there were kids running all over the place, screaming and cavorting as loudly as they possibly could. The owner, who was visibly drunk, apologized for this, but ended up creeping myself and my associate out more than anything. The walls were dirty, the window coverings were in shameless disrepair, and the tablecloths were frayed and stained. The restaurant looked like it was once a nice place, but had not been maintained for years. The kicker is that my business partner said he used to go there all the time and usually had a fine experience. This is a restaurant that I will never return to if I happen to be in Harrisonburg again. What a joke.”

“Regarding the wood fired oven Italian restaurant, I can see why this place has had to reduce its hours and why it was virtually empty when I visited. This was my sixth time in four years, and I always brought along a new guest to share this fantastic Italian food. What a shock I was in for this time! Not only the quality of cooking had dramatically dwindled, it was obvious the previous wonderful choices in food supplies had been changed to cheap, ordinary ones. I didn't mind paying the awfully high prices before, when I could smell the wood fire, garlic, and it was a delectable dining experience, but now, with fluorescent overhead lights, dirty walls, sad excuses for salads, and food that tasted for the most part like run of the mill cafeteria food, I was highly upset. I could barely detect garlic in any of the food, and food that formerly came with soaked in olive oil and herbs was now dry, hard and tasteless. I would like to note that I was extremely embarrassed to bring my Italian guest, to whom I had boasted of this wonderful Italian restaurant. My guest was appalled at the food, which was a different entree than mine. I will never return to this establishment. May I note that the preceding (positive) review is not for this Italian restaurant, which has never had a buffet in its history. The preceding review is for a different entity, a new wood fired buffet, not Italian at all, located less than two miles away.” Popular Restraurants in HarrisonburgView all restaurants in Harrisonburg
