• Alligator without a life.

“The food is alright. The part that makes this restaurant receive a low rating from me is the fact that there is an alligator that sits in a glass container so small it couldn't even turn around if it wanted to. This makes for a very poor and saddening experience. Lost my appetite the moment I saw it.”

• Easily my new favorite place to eat.
• There isn't a gator's closer to my home!

“The staff was very polite. I actually thought the pricing was an extreme value for the quality of food. Our experience was so positive that I will be making the 3+ hour trip multiple times per year just for the meal!”

• Love the new location, very close to the intersection of two main highways through town!
• Although very friendly, the last waiters we had kept mixing up peoples orders.

“Gator's is a great place to go with 2 or 20 people. Service is always friendly and the food is great! Burlington is my hometown and although the location, staff and even menu has changed. it is always a must on our trips through town!”

• Great food, wonderful staff.
• A bit of a hard time reconciling who was paying for what.

“My sister called at about 5:00 p.m. for a reservation for 26 people that evening. When we got there at 7:30 the staff had tables ready and 2 waitresses which I think were dedicated solely to us. Very few of us ordered the same thing and everyone said their food was excellent. The staff was wonderful and attentive, we had a small corner area enclosed on three sides, just perfect for a family get together.”

• Treatment of a large alligator caged in a small aquarium.

“Service, food, and prices were very good. But we had one real problem with our family visit to this restaurant. We visited this restaurant on a trip from Texas and met a large group of family and friends there. When we entered the restaurant we encountered a 3 to 3 and a half foot long alligator in an aquarium that was at most 4 feet long by 2 feet wide. Extremely unacceptable to have this animal caged like this. This made our visit to this restaurant totally uncomfortable and we would probably not agree to go into another gator restaurant as long as they continue to maintain animals in such conditions. .”

• Can't think of anything.

“My staff took me to Gators for my birthday. Since we had reservations, our table was all ready for us when we arrive. Everyone was very friendly, courtesy and helpful. All five of us had a different entree. They were all very delicious. The service was excellent. Three gals came out and sang "Happy Birthday" to me, plus a free sundae. We were all very pleased with everything and are planning to go back.”
