• Good steak.
• Poor sides, service, and overpriced.

“I am a business traveler from Texas, so I do know my steak. In fairness, the meat itself was good. My problem was with the sides and service. The salad consisted of a little iceberg lettuce with half of a cherry tomato and a single slice of cucumber. Nothing else. The MSG seasoning in the rice was excessive, the steamed asparagus marginal and priced at more than a dollar a spear. The server was curt and inattentive. At the conclusion of the dinner, she literally tossed the check folder onto the table. In short, it was overpriced for the value that we received. I would not recommend this establishment. I should add that, while waiting at the bar to be seated, the bartender gave me change for a twenty when I paid with a hundred.”

• A place if you are a meat lover not to miss.
• Salad was ridiculous.

“I was not disappointed. Our server was an experienced beautiful short haired brunette with a smile and service spirit to light a castle. The menu was short on a few amenities, and the wine list was overpriced but with good choices. The steaks were awesome.”

“I had the pleasure of visiting Ticos for the first time this month. I've eaten at some of the finest restaurants from Nashville to New Orleans, and this was the best steak I have ever put in my mouth. I had the filet cooked medium rare. (FYI-There is a notice on the menu that they are not responsible for steaks ordered med well or well done. If it's undercooked you can send it back, but if it is over cooked they can't uncook it.) I also ordered a margarita and it was perfect. So I ordered another one! The only reason for my food rating not being a 10 is because I am very particular about my salad dressings, it was good but not the best I had ever had, (blue cheese). I also had a loaded baked potato and think next time I will try one of the other potato sides. I have not stopped talking about the steak and margarita and have bragged about it so much to my husband I think we will celebrate our 9th wedding anniversary at Tico's. (unfortunately for him he did not get to go with me on the first visit) If you haven't already go try it it's worth every penny!”

“I have been told for several years that this was the best steak house around, my fiancee and I decided to try it out on a Saturday night. I had a Filet Mignon and he had a New York strip. We both we very disappointed when we ordered the steaks medium well and they came back so burnt I could literally hear him crunching on his steak. My steak wasn't as burnt, but I definitely have had better. The service was great and very friendly overall. I guess we just shocked to pay $80.00 for the worst steak we both had ever eaten! I would ask questions before you order!”

• There is not enough space to list why I like Tico's.
• Nothing.

“I am a regular patron. My husband myself have reservations every Friday night. When the bar staff see us walk through the door they have our regular drinks waiting on us when we get to the bar. We request the same waiter every visit. We never open a menu. If we want steak he knows which steak each of us wants and how we want it cooked. He knows what dressing we take on our salads. All he asks is what side we would like. I always ask him to make a suggestion and he'll say "well you haven't had (so and so) for a while, how about that? We have never had a bad meal. The owner is always working the floor. He buses tables or what ever need to be done. He goes from table to table and greets his customers and if you are regulars he call you by name. You get white table cloth service and food, but the atmosphere is comfortable not stuffy. Any time we have business associates from out of town they always ask to go to Tico's.”
