  • Exit is easy to find.
  • Absolutely everything.

“We're from San Diego and embarrassed that KCBBQ is located in America's Finest City. Ate there for the first time yesterday and will never return. Service was horrible. Pick up your own menu and plastic utensils, seat yourself, served on paper plates, rude service, lost our order, 1.5 hours to get food but the attitude from the waitress was free. The absolute only thing that has saved this restaurant from being condemned and shut down by Dept of Health is the Top Gun shoot. It's run down and filthy. Our salt and pepper shakers and table condiments appeared to never have been cleaned. Dirt, hair, globs of old dried food stuck to them, etc. Absolutely unbelievable. Can't believe we wasted our afternoon there.”

  • Leaving.
  • Having to pay for lousy food & service.

“This place has lost its loving feeling. The food was old & cold. The old waitress had major attitude and lazy to boot. If you want good bbq go to kfc or shop around. If you want that top gun feeling then rent the movie. It puts that dump in a good life for 25 seconds. They don't take American express.”

  • Just about everything.

“I was very disappointed. The restaurant has good reviews but fails to deliver. The BBQ was terrible. In Texas this wouldn't even rank as third rate. An absolutely tasteless (and fatty) thin sliver of meat with a sauce does not constitute BBQ. If this is the best San Diego has to offer, BBQ lovers need to make their own!”

  • Atmosphere was great for just hanging out; more of an adult place.
  • Bathrooms; OK, but not great.

“Great place. even on a Sunday afternoon, but we're from Louisiana so anything goes!! We sat at the bar (ate and drank), and the bartender was fabulous. Dave was his name. Great sport, great company, great service. We were in San Diego at a dental convention, and would go back in a heartbeat. We'll actually send a picture and bumper sticker to go with your decor!! Keep on keep in on!!”
