“Staff acted like they were inconvenienced by our presence. Food took forever! Asked to speak to manager who had to stop chain smoking to listen and then did nothing but say o well this is the summer and we are busy. Never going back.”

“The rudest and most impolite wait staff I have ever encountered. It took over thirty minutes for us to be served as we made our way back to our boat to make our own drinks! When we came back, we were accosted by some woman who referred to herself as the bar manager and threatened to kick us out. We politely apologized and complied. An hour later, our food arrived cold and we didn't eat it. This place is bad! Avoid it at all cost and find other places in Beafort to visit. We believe that they cater to a very specific group of local clientele and see cruisers as a nuisance. We will never pull into Beafort again, needless to say, visit the Dockhouse!”

“This restaurant needs to be closed and the dining areas were steam cleaned. Starting with the ladies' room, which had a broken door lock and a dirty sanitary napkin on the filthy tile floor, all got even worse. Dirty carpet, dirty tables, poorly cooked food, negligent service. Customers were getting their own menus and bussing their own tables. People were left to seat themselves then quickly move back inside when the bugs attacked. Had never been to Beaufort; don't plan to go back.”

“I've been to the dock house six or seven times now because its close and convenient and the view is pretty but I refuse to go again. The bartenders were extremely rude and service was bad!”

“This restaurant was so dirty and gave the waterfront such a bad name, the wait staff are so unfriendly and bartenders are very rude, my husband and I went and all he talked about was how much the bartender tried to buy him a shot and take him home. ”

“This was my first visit to the Dock House. I went with friends to listen to a band that we were familiar with. My first thought of the place was great. I love anywhere where you can sit outside and enjoy your drinks and listen to the live music. But the service was less than desirable. I have never in my life been so insulted as I was that night by the wait staff (bartender). She was not very friendly to the least and her language towards us was absolutely unacceptable in any circumstance. The acronym TIPS means To Insure Prompt Service. Something that your wait staff needs to remember and practice.”

“Very rugged place for the beauty of Beaufort...not very clean and no organization i.e., seat yourself, wait staff confused on who's table is who's. Food was OK. View on balcony was great, if you can find a cleared table. Restaurant was fairly unclean and hot. Waitress kept closing french doors on second floor and it was very stuffy and hot up there. Would have preferred the doors kept open for a nice inlet breeze. Plus this is the loudest place on Front Street after dark. Not at all fitting for the Front Street experience. More of a party/club place, not for families after dark.” Popular Restraurants in BeaufortView all restaurants in Beaufort
