• LOVE those burgers and fries!
• Atmosphere needs a little work, but who really cares when in burger bliss.

“Brown Bear was and always has been AWESOME! Best burgers ANYWHERE and we live in Chicago and have access to some of the best food anywhere. I've never had their roast beef sub (but who orders roast beef sub sandwiches at Brown Bear anyway. It's a burger joint. Duh) Anyway beats the best of the best, hands down! And those seasonal soups during asparagus season the fresh Wisconsin cheddar-asparagus was to absolutely die for. Always our first stop in Michigan. I will ALWAYS.”

• Its a local bar, so it comes equipped with drunks and feisty waitresses.

“Great food! The cub burgers are perfect size and the fries are wonderful. The mombo combo is excellent! This is definitely a local bar, complete with the local drunks. I wouldnt walk in without my boyfriend. Overall the brown bear is one of my favorite places to eat up north. Great for a snowmobiling weekend.”

• Sub standard food products used, slow service, and migrants all over outside in the street.

“Ordered a roast beef sub and it was nothing but shaved fat with the veins and arteries in it; it was gross - make sure you don't open the bun! The French fries were soggy as well. This place has really gone down hill since my last visit.”

• Good beer.
