“If you're looking for atmosphere and elegance go somewhere else. If you are looking for great and interesting Italian food and wine have a seat. Ossobuco is the best. Area looks rough but I've never had a problem. .”

“Had an excellent dinner with friends who introduced us to Totaro's. One has to know and appreciate Philly neighborhood Italian restaurants to really appreciate Totaro's. It's on a side street, has a small parking lot and on entering looks and feels like a neighborhood Italian joint. Enjoy the atmosphere. The food, however, is definitely not neighborhood. The menu is upscale and more suited to Yuppie Suburbia. It was well prepared and plated. The house wine as fine. Overall, recommend for an upscale experience in a downscale setting.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

“I have had lunch at Totaro's many times, never disappointed. Last night I invited another couple to share what I expected to be a very pleasant experience. I know about the parking (very little at the restaurant) and the neighborhood, a bit rough, but not scary. However, the food is expensive and parking and neighborhood aside I expect a level of service and ambiance in the restaurant to match the pricing - this was certainly not the case. We seated in the upstairs "Overflow" area at folding tables (the tablecloths were nice put it was like a picnic table in Fairmount Park). The food was slow in coming and only warm. The picnic table behind us sent every dish back for re-heating. My $ 11.00 "Steakhouse Salad" had two cold pieces of bacon, a tomato slice and not enough dressing for more those two bites; there was no salt and pepper on the table and the $ 8.50 a glass wine was a pitifully small serving, about two shot glasses - shameless. We were very disappointed and will not return. If you decide to chance an expensive a-la-carte menu consider yourself warned and do not take a seat upstairs.”

“This menu is off the charts. If you want to experience true French cuisine from some very experienced chefs try this place out. Excellent food nice wine list. Walk into the bar and you don't expect much. The dining room will knock your socks off. Menu includes buffalo, ostrich, lamb, veal, duck all succulently prepared. Neighborhood is a tad rough, but worth it.”

“If you want your BMW stolen, come to this neighborhood. I can't believe my hotel recommended this place, nice food, but it's a dive (that's being generous). Don't stay after dark.” 3 of 6 people found this review helpful.Popular Restraurants in ConshohockenView all restaurants in Conshohocken
