“I go to Martin's whenever I get a chance, especially when they have their lobster specials. The atmosphere is that diner likes but the food and service more than make up for it. I would give it a very high recommendation.”

“Martins Restaurant was originally in New Jersey when my dad, one of the chefs, was a young boy. I think the restaurant needs to be updated a lot. I love my family's restaurant so much!”

• Nice view of the ocean.
• Poor food prep and some quality issues.

“My family and I have driven to Flagler and eaten at Martin's many times. I even took our bike club there on rides several times. We will still go to Flagler to eat, nice drive, but we will probably not eat at this restaurant any more. The last three rime we ate there we were served really poorly prepared food. Ate there last weekend and the food was very poorly prepared. Meat for the hamburgers was mush and had no flavor. Onion rings were fried as a lump and they had to be broken into pieces to separate them. The batter or frying method has changed, the taste just wasn't the same. The same was true for the gator tail. It was fried and served in one big lump. Food is a little pricey now also. Tile floor is now dark because it hasn't been properly cleaned in a while. I feel like we lost a great place to eat. Too bad but luckily there are still other good eateries in the area.”

• You must try the prime rib.
• Teenage (15yrs and up) wait staff.

“I am from NY and everytime I go to Palm Coast, Florida I stop at Martins. The prime rib is melt in your mouth awesome. The serving sizes are huge!. The table service leaves something to be desired as it is a bunch of teenagers serving you.”

“24 Members of our Car Club recently had lunch there. I had visited the restaurant the week before and since we were planning a club outing the next week at Flagler Beach decided to eat there. The restaurant seated us all on one long table (24). The service was great and the meal even better! We were served quickly and very politely. We felt very much appreciated for dining there. The staff was very efficient and took care of all our needs. As for the food I was outstanding both in portions and quality. I had the Scallops and my wife had the Shrimp Platter. It was the best I have had and very inexpensive. We are already looking forward to another visit. Thanks to all the employees and management at Martins who made our day worth the trip.”

• It did not take long to get seated.
• When asked what beverage I wanted I ordered a diet coke before I ordered my meal. I was charged for a dinner soda at $1.95 before I knew what I was ordering.

“Lunch prices were very reasonable but dinner not so. Seafood platter for lunch was fried only so waitress suggested dinner seafood platter which could be broiled and was dinner size. I would hate to see the size of the lunch portion as the dinner Mates Seafood Combination consisted of 3 shrimp, 4 shallops and a 2"x2" piece of fish and lots of French fries. The price was $12.95.”

• The food. Lobster was excellent and also the seafood platter.
• Service, waiter drinking out of a serving pitcher in customer line of sight.

“The food was excellent! Although, the service was something to be desired. Only saw our server when she took our order, delivered the order, and then presented the check. I had to actually go to the servers station and ask another server for a refill on my beverage. We were sitting in the back portion of the restaurant and had a direct line of site into the servers station. I looked up and noticed a server drinking out of the water pitcher that I was just served a refill out of a moments earlier. Kind of lost my appetite. Dont know if this is the norm or an exception. Once again the food was excellent. Bad first impression. Do not know yet if they will get a second chance.”

• Ran out of lobster special, but still had the regular lobster dinner.

“The selection of food is good. The dishes are prepared well. You get more way more than your monies worth. The prime rib is awesome, but that's only one of the choices. I drive 70 miles just to have dinner there.”
